Employee Spotlight: Erica Frank
Tell us about yourself and how long you've been with Optimal Dynamics.

I've been with Optimal Dynamics for two and a half years, and I came in with quite a few years in the trucking industry under my belt. That background shapes how I think about this role every day. I understand the people we're talking to, the pressures they're under, and what actually moves the needle for them.
Can you briefly summarize your job?
I lead all things marketing spanning across PR, content, social, events and demand generation, along with the SDR team that helps build our sales pipeline. My job is to make sure the market understands who we are, what we do, and why it matters.
What inspired you the most to join Optimal Dynamics?
Two things stood out. After working many years in this industry, you build relationships with a lot of impressive people, and several of them had already made their way to Optimal Dynamics. That says something. Beyond the people, the technology was exactly where I saw the industry heading. AI wasn't a buzzword here, it was the foundation.
What do you like best about our company culture?
Transparency and access. Information flows freely, and you're never more than a conversation away from the people making key decisions. We work hard and fast, and everyone is genuinely all in. There's a shared sense that we're building and delivering something meaningful, and that energy is contagious.
What is unique about what we do at Optimal Dynamics?
We take on some of the toughest challenges in trucking and solve them with a robust mathematical foundation that's been proven across dozens of enterprise carriers. A lot of companies talk about optimization. We deliver it, at scale, in the real operational environments where it's hardest to get right.
What is your favorite part of your job?
The diversity of the work and the people I get to do it with. No two days look the same, and I'm constantly moving between creative, strategic, and analytical thinking. Pair that with a team of genuinely talented people, and it never gets stale.
How does your work impact our product, and, therefore, the industry?
Marketing builds the momentum that carries our product into the market. We translate what our team has built into a story the industry understands, and we make our value impossible to ignore. When we do that well, we're not just selling software, we're helping move an entire industry toward a smarter way of operating.
As one of our enterprise customers stated:
“Their platform represents the future – system-to-system communication allowing for dynamically assigned optimized freight.”
What have been your biggest accomplishments on our team, and what was the impact on the company?

A few stand out. Launching Scale was a major one. It landed to real fanfare across media, customers, and prospects, and reinforced our position at the front of the market. Building our SDR team from the ground up is another. That team is now a core engine for growing our pipeline.
But the work I'm proudest of is telling our customers' stories. The most powerful thing I can do in marketing is let our results speak through the customers who live them every day. When we bring those wins to the market, we're not just making claims about our platform, we're showing the industry proof of what's possible
How have you grown professionally while on our team?
Operating as a team of one (with a whole lot of help along the way) has pushed me to jump back into a pure individual contributor role and get my hands dirty across every discipline. What I valued most was staying strategic through all of it, always keeping the best interest of the company at the center of every decision. It's made me a sharper, more well-rounded marketer.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Walking the beautiful beaches and hills of San Diego, golfing, watching F1 (Forza Ferrari!), and traveling whenever I can.
Can you share a hidden talent no one knows about you?
I can find genuine peace watching hours of grown adults screaming at each other on Bravo reality TV. The louder the reunion, the calmer I get. Call it a meditation practice.
What's the best advice you can give to someone who wants to work at Optimal Dynamics?
You can make a real impact here, faster than you'd expect anywhere else. Have an idea? Bring it forward and make it work. The people who thrive at Optimal Dynamics are the ones who take ownership and run with it.
