Employee Spotlight: Stephanie Born
Tell us about yourself and how long you've been with Optimal Dynamics.

I've been with Optimal Dynamics for more than a year as a Solutions Delivery Manager supporting our implementation team. I bring 8 years of experience in the freight tech space and am passionate about product development, team building, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering solutions that drive real efficiencies.
Can you briefly summarize your job?
As a Solutions Delivery Manager, I engage with customers and users across a wide range of roles and responsibilities, while partnering closely with internal teams. I'm passionate about advocating for our customers during implementations — working alongside them to build logistics solutions that align with their goals and set them up for long-term success.
What inspired you the most to join Optimal Dynamics?
I was excited by the opportunity to broaden my experience and immerse myself in a startup culture and mindset. The chance to learn more about operations and build new relationships was appealing. The more I learned about the company, the more I was drawn to being part of a team where individual contributions make a real, visible difference.
What do you like best about our company culture?
The autonomy to make real-time decisions and directly see their impact. When a roadblock or inefficiency surfaces we are empowered to step in and lead. Everyone is supportive and willing to help each other towards shared goals and objectives.
What is unique about what we do at Optimal Dynamics?
Optimal Dynamics is solving complex problems in an industry that is undergoing massive digital transformation. OD offers advanced solutions and a platform that leverages decision making automation, network optimization and an agentic system layer. Our ability to consult through this change stands out with the deployment process. Aligning on organizational change management early enables our customers to see results quickly. Our deployments are a partnership and tailored to each customer.
What is your favorite part of your job?
Meeting with customers, learning their business, and understanding what matters most to them. Building relationships and helping them succeed is very rewarding. I'm also a planner at heart, so organizing deliverables and streamlining processes comes naturally to me. Working with internal teams to develop efficient deployment processes is a highlight of this role.
How does your work impact our product, and, therefore, the industry?
I have a frontline seat with customers being directly involved in shaping and building custom solutions. Our solutions enable customers to improve their networks and bottom line KPIs. Throughout and post deployment I act as a conduit for the product teams with real time feedback to improve our product space and user experience.
What have been your biggest accomplishments on our team, and what was the impact on the company?
Since joining, I've been working with one of our largest and most complex customers and continue to do so. Enabling their platform activation and supporting them through hypercare has been an exciting challenge. Seeing all of the hard work across multiple teams come to fruition is very rewarding. I'm grateful for the opportunity to manage this project and develop so many new relationships along the way. I've also had the opportunity to assist with implementing and testing a new deployment workflow that leverages agile methodology and best practices and learning new technology.
How have you grown professionally while on our team?
Moving to a frontline customer-facing role after years in internal and technical positions has been a tremendous opportunity to sharpen my professional soft skills. Learning to quickly read and connect with people and earn their trust in a fast-paced environment, is a skill I honed in this position. I continually learn something new whether technical or soft skill wise working with a wide variety of internal and external roles. Equally valuable is experiencing customer pain points from the operational side versus my product side background. It's given me a deeper appreciation for operations and customer teams, and it's a perspective I'll carry throughout my career.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I stay active with a variety of outdoor hobbies and love good eats, books, and travel. I'm drawn to adventure and the thrill of trying new things — true to my Aries nature!
Can you share a hidden talent no one knows about you?
I am a downhill ski enthusiast and am always looking for a new place to check out. I have made it a goal to visit a new mountain with each trip. If you have any recommendations let me know!
What's the best advice you can give to someone who wants to work at Optimal Dynamics?
Be willing to roll up your sleeves, ask questions without hesitation, and bring a flexible mindset. We're constantly iterating to make our product, processes, and people better — it's fast-paced and high-energy. If you're a lifelong learner who wants to be challenged and make an impact quickly, this is the place for you.
